“elio elio elio elio elio elio elio elio elio elio” “oliver i remember everthing” im not crying im not crying im...
Gives me troy sivan vibes. My favorite movie along with Rocketman. I'm letting the denim wash over me. Because I wanted you to know. I was not emotionally ready for this movie. The script, Timothée and the scenery was absolutely amazing. Bought the movie immediately. Just into the first 10 minutes and I can tell that this is the WWII movie I have waited for.
Watching this movie made me remember how idealized first love can be and therefore the most painful one. It's like the summer in the film represents a season, a brief finite time that will eventually end. But the memory of it never fades, even in the warmest or coldest of seasons. I wonder if they did it off screen. Beautifully shot, touching story. Sad, but worth it. Most meaningful, best acted, best directed LGBT film since Brikeback. A difference maker for today's gays, and a subject drama that hits home. Watched this today. It was so good. I love it so much. The ending made me want to cry. So good. 💕. Cmbyn is amazing the acting and scenery is amazing i cannot fathom.
U SHOULD READ THE BOOK THEN. bye. This film is pure sensuality and emotion. You can see through the character's eyes, taste through their mouths but most importantly you feel, by God how you feel. Luca Guadagnino manages to extract the very best out of his actors: Armie Hammer's performance shows unprecedented depth and Timothee Chalamet is the essence of awe inspiring acting, this film will land him an Oscar nomination at the very least. There's a part in the book just a few days after this confession and their first kiss when Elio kept trying to break the silence between them, Oliver asked Elio: Do you really like me that much, Elio? to which the champion of love, Elio replied: Do I like you? Oliver, I worship you. mic drop.
2:27 - Is that Elio in his shirt? 😍. For those looking for death defying stunts and huge explosions with big fireballs, I'm sorry to say but you won't be getting any of that. For those who are looking for a good story filled movie with exciting and rich characters, I'm sorry to say that you won't be getting any of that either. What you will be getting is the most realistic war movie I've ever seen. War and history aren't about the big unrealistic fireballs or physics defying aerial dogfights, they're about the story, and I don't mean the cliche back in my home town blah blah. kind of story, I mean the story of what these soldiers stranded at Dunkirk went through. I won't lie, some of this movie was a disappointment, the explosions were unrealistically and sometimes even comically too small in certain scenes but my biggest gripe is the fact that there were 400,000 British and French men evacuating on that beach but the movie made it seem a lot smaller than that but regardless Dunkirk puts you in the boots of one of those soldiers in a unique and realistic way. You're stranded on a beach, all of your friends are dead, you just got your ass handed to you during the embarrassing Battle of France (or more widely known as the Fall of France) Europe has just fallen to the Third Reich and everyone of the remaining Allied nations is retreating to the last stronghold on the entire western half of the continent of Europe, Dunkirk, in the hopes of salvation by retreating across the waters of the English channel to the last bastion of the Allies, the British Isles. There isn't going to be time for when I was younger I was sweet on this girl from blah blah blah. You've been defeated, beaten, and humiliated and trying desperately to go back to your home, Britain, while thinking that the population is going to hate you for loosing. This is a story about defeat, humiliation, and sorrow. At this point in the Second World War (1940) the Nazis were on a winning streak and it seemed as if there would be no changing that. You're just trying to get home, to a country that you think will hate you, which makes the ending all the more sweeter.
He looks so nervous and it makes my heart heavy because he'll never realise what a beautiful movie he helped create.
Glad you got around to this one Chris. Its definitely one of my favourite movies of 2017. In particular the father's speech near the end and the closing credits were amazing scenes.
Only moment I cried at this years ceremony.
Omg He sounds like he's about to cry 😢😢😢. Congrats.
